ABOUT THE COMPOSER

Professor Rik Huhtanen, JD, MBA, BA, saxophonist, samba drummer and percussion enthusiast, is an estate planning attorney, and an Adjunct College professor of Business Law for Linfield College. Rik Huhtanen is a founding member of Gamelan Sari Pandhawa, a community orchestra dedicated to playing traditional and contemporary Indonesian gamelan music. Among the instruments he plays are the Indonesian flute and a 22 string Zither. He and his wife came to Oregon in 1985 from Hawaii, Rik's home base during the time he sailed the Western Pacific and Indian Oceans aboard Navy ships as a civilian Professor of Business Administration for Chapman College.
